Mr. Casey Lee Shirley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Casey Lee Shirley, age 37, on December 26, 2024 of Taylorsville, Georgia.

Casey was born on December 28, 1986, in Cobb County, Georgia and he grew up surround by love and laughter. Casey graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College and was an Automotive / Mobile Mechanic that was always there to help anyone that may be in need.

Casey’s entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his generosity and humor. He would say the funniest things to make those around him smile. Casey lit up any room he entered and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on cars and especially working on hot rods. Casey loved being silly, listening to music, shooting pool and guns, paintball, UGA Football, Atlanta Braves and playing basketball & baseball.

Casey is survived by his loving parents, Amos and Martha Shirley of Taylorsville, Georgia; Brother: Dennis Shirley; Sisters: Tammy Shirley and Kayla (Charles) Irwin; Nephews: Austin (Adrienne) Shirley, Camden Richardson and Bradley Irwin; Nieces: Brooke O’Kelly Thompson, Kelbie Hyde and Jeslee Irwin; Great Niece: Emma Shirley; and fiancé: Terrie Swift. He is also survived by a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will cherish his memory and laughter forever.

Services will be held at F.K. Jones Funeral Home – Rockmart Chapel – located at 212 East Elm Street, Rockmart, Georgia 30153. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. where a eulogy will be provided by Mrs. Laura Mulkey. Mr. Shirley will lie in state from 2 pm until the hour of Celebration.
