Ms. Valerie Shaun " Pinky " Hixon

Ms. Val (Pinky) Hixon, daughter of Sanders and Mary Hixon was born December 15, 1973 in Rome, Georgia. She attended schools in Rome, and was a graduate of Darlington High School where she was a standout athlete in multiple sports. She went on to attend High Point University in High Point NC, and was baptized at a young age as a member of Greater Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Val was an entrepreneur who was well loved by everyone who met her, and was also an aspiring songwriter. She enjoyed traveling, sporting events and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sister Sandra (Sweet) Hixon and brother Maddy (Marty) Long. She is survived by her parents, Sanders and Mary Hixon; foster sons Jamarion Tate and Jayce Donaldson; sisters Erica Hixon, Sondra Hixon and Marquita Searcy; brothers Victor Hixon, Sanders Hixon, Kerry Hixon and Chris Long and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
