Niecey as she was so fondly called by family and friends had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She could turn up any event and loved being with friends and family! Her dressing was in high demand during the holidays and any other time you could get her to make it. Velma was known for the vibrant and bright colors she loved and wore.
Velma left a void in the lives of her loved ones. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, she entered into God’s eternal care and joined her family who preceded her in death, her beloved son Marcus Griffin, her parents, her brother Alphonzo Griffin Jr., and her niece Tonya Griffin.
Velma will truly be missed but her life, giving and loving spirit will be celebrated by her sons Jason (Shaneshia) and James Mims (Jennifer) of Rome, Georgia.
